Dennis Morris
I have a friend whose family originated from Sicily and he is the one who gave me the name Dionigi (evidently this is Italian for Dennis).
In a nutshell I have several passions, one of which is food. Creating new dishes, old dishes or just enjoying eating food creations by others, I believe that this is one of the elements of life and enjoying it with others.
My origins of cooking go back to my great grandmother, although I was too young to understand much of what she did or the Eastern European dishes she made. It was not until decades later, somewhat from boredom of the continual barrage of the same foods over and over, that I started truly creating dishes. Inspired by my love of Italian foods, I began creating blends of dishes from all over Italy. On a couple somewhat brief hospital visits where I was on leave from work I started studying other dishes, mostly street foods from around the globe. This has become my new passion and many dishes will be reflected here along with some tried and true simpler dishes using ingredients found in pretty much every home.
I hope you enjoy the dishes and I want to inspire you to create your own versions as well.
One last thing, share your time not only eating, but cooking these meals with others. Food truly is one way to bring people together.
Ciao
